Hay Penny Beach, St. Croix

Hay Penny Beach is also called Ha’Penny Beach. It is located on the South Shore of St. Croix. It is also called the Manchenil Bay.

We didn't even know about this beach, but after talking to a local, she recommended visiting Hay Penny Beach.

This beach is off the main road (Highway 62) and you turn off at the pink entrance wall to drive down a dirt road to a dirt parking lot.

As we got out, we could see that this is a really long beach and we decided to walk all the way to the end and back.

While we were there, we saw a lot of seaweed, but the sand was really soft and we didn't mind it.

We did some snorkeling too. The water was clear, but we didn't see a lot of fish or active coral reefs. It was still beautiful, but in comparison to some other beaches in St. Croix I wouldn't recommend it for snorkeling. 

With that said, we still loved this beach and would go back. The views, the turquoise blue water, and the soft sand were amazing!

Overall, we had a great time at Hay Penny Beach and can't wait to go back.

• Bring a plenty of water and some snacks
• Bring a hat to keep the sun off of your face.
• Bring sunscreen
• Bring a beach towel to lay out on.
• Bring your own snorkel gear
