26247 Troon Ave, Sorrento, Florida - House Review

We love visiting the Orlando area in Florida because there is so much to do. Instead of hitting theme parks we decided to hit the natural beauties in the area.

We rented this beautiful house in Sorrento because it is close to 4 amazing destinations. We rented the property through VRBO:

It's only a 36 minute drive north of Orlando. Approximately 33.5 miles.

Kelly Park - Rock Springs Tube Run is only a 9 minute drive from this property. This is a natural spring that you can float down and go swimming.

Kings Landing (If you need to rent a kayak) or Camp Joy (If you have access to a kayak) is only an 11 minute drive from this property. The Emerald Cut is crystal clear natural spring that you can kayak.

Wakiwa Springs State Park is only an 18 minute drive from this property. The natural spring is great for snorkeling, swimming, canoeing and laying out and relaying.

The Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive is only a 21 minute drive from this property. The drive on a dirt road goes along canals where you can see alligators and all sorts of wildlife.

You can probably see why we were so excited to be staying at this house in Sorrento so close to so many amazing destinations. 

I'm first going to take you on a tour of the outside of the house and then we will tour the inside.

This house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It has a 2-car garage, but as a rental we didn't have access to the garage. The back of the house has a screened enclosure with a pool and spa.

Having access to a pool in the heat of August in Florida was so awesome. The spa isn't heated during the summer time so it felt good to sit in it and talk and hang out.

As you walk up to the front door there is a nice porch with some rocking chairs. The front door has an electronic keypad. You just enter the code and the door unlocks.

As you walk inside, you are welcomed by a very open floor plan with a beautiful living room, kitchen, and dining room.

The kitchen has a snack bar area with lots of stools. It also has a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, double sink, and a dishwasher.

The living room has a really comfortable couch, a big screen tv, and really fast internet and wi-fi.

There is a nook area right by the kitchen where they have a desk and chair. This was great for me as I could set up my laptop here.

There is also a laundry room with a full washer and dryer. This was great to be able to do some laundry on our trip.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, a dresser, a big screen tv, a door to the pool area, and it's own bathroom.

The master bathroom has a bathtub, shower, toilet, and a double vanity. The closet was not available for use. The shower had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided.

Next, I'm going to show you the other side of the house. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom there.

This is the first bedroom that has a bed, dresser, big screen tv, and a closet.

The bathroom on this side of the house and has a bathtub with a shower, a toilet, and a vanity with a single sink.

The third bedroom has a bed, a dresser, a smaller tv, and a closet with a small desk and chair.

From the living room there are doors that go out to the porch and pool area. There are couches and a grill available.

Overall, we had a great time staying at 26247 Troon Avenue. This house was beautiful and so close to so many beautiful places to explore. We would highly recommend staying at this house on your next trip to Orlando, Florida.

We paid $360 per night for 3 nights. The host fees were $406.26 and the service fee was $128.26. The total came to $1,474.26.

These are the checklist items I recommend:

• The house has pool towels so you don't need to bring your own towels.
• Bring a hat to keep the sun off of your face.
• Bring your own snorkeling gear.
• Bring money to buy food or to shop in the stores.
• Bring money to go grocery shopping since you will have a full kitchen.
