Alta Bella Villa & Nordic Spa, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands
Blog Post - May 1 - 5, 2026
We just got back from an amazing trip to the Alta Bella Villa and Nordic Spa in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
This beautiful villa is located on the Chalk Sound National Park in Providenciales.
This villa has a main house and 3 casitas.
It can sleep up to 20 people and is great for family reunions or large groups.
We went with my family and some extended family.
This setup was perfect as we could all have our own private spaces, but still enjoy all of the amenities together.
This property also has the only known Nordic Spa and Fitness Center in Providenciales. They have a 2-person Clearlight infrared sauna with red light therapy and temperature controlled cold plunge therapy. The spa also includes a fitness center with a Peloton bike, Rogue assault bike, Versaclimber, Concept 2 SkiErg, Fringe Sports Dane 2.0, adjustable dumbbells and kettlebells and pull-up rack and bench. This was perfect for working out and recovering on our trip.
This review of the Alta Bella Villa and Nordic Spa breaks down the following:
1. A tour of the main house
2. A tour of the Nordic Spa and Fitness Center
3. A tour of the three casitas
4. A tour of the pool/hot tub, and pool deck
5. A tour of the Chalk Sound to the blue hole and the sunken plane wreck on the provided Schiller Water Bikes
6. A tour of Taylor Bay Beach and Sapodilla Bay Beach which are only 5 minutes from the property.
7. A tour of snorkeling at Smith's Reef which is only a 20 minute drive from the property.
8. A tour of eating at Las Brisas Restaurant which is only 5 minutes from the villa.
We want to thank Joel and Verona for this hosted stay as it makes it possible for us to share these amazing properties with the Jordan Outside Community.
If you want to book your stay at the Alta Bella Villa and Nordic Spa, you can do it on their website at https://altabellavilla.com
The Turks and Caicos Islands are located southeast of both Florida and the Bahamas.
The Alta Bella Villa is located on the southern end of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos. This is the most developed island in the Turks and Caicos.
From the Airport it's a 7 mile drive to the villa, which took us about 18 minutes to drive there. We rented our car from GraceBayCarRentals.com and we were able to pick up our car at the airport.
We made a right hand turn from South Dock Road onto Chalk Sound Drive. Remember to drive on the left hand side of the road in Providenciales.
After turning onto Chalk Sound Drive we drove past Las Brisas Restaurant on the right hand side of the road. We also drove past Sapodilla Bay Beach and Taylor Bay Beach.
Chalk Sound Drive veers to the right as you get to the Silly Creek Estates Entrance. Veer to the right and follow the paved road to the Alta Bella Villa & Nordic Spa.
As we pulled up to the Alta Bella Villa & Nordic Spa we saw that they have two gated entrances. The first gate is the exit for the property so we kept driving to the second gate that has a keypad to get in and is the entrance to the property.
As we started to pull into the property, we were blown away by how turquoise the water was in the Chalk Sound National Park.
The very front of the property has a 4-car carport and an attached casita. We went ahead and parked and started exploring the property.
At the entry to the house, you'll find two doors. The first door is the Nordic Spa and Fitness Center. The second door is the main door to the primary villa/house. I'm going to take you on a tour of the main villa first, then the Nordic Spa and Fitness Center, and then the three casitas.
The front door has its own keycode so you don't have to worry about carrying around keys the whole stay. As you walk into the foyer, there is a big metal picture of the island along with QR codes to the beaches, emergency numbers, how to run everything in the villa, and how to book your next stay. This was really helpful throughout our stay.
From the foyer you walk into the large living room that has two comfortable couches, vaulted ceilings, a large screen tv, two gaming consoles, and amazing views of the Chalk Sound National Park.
Next is the fully stocked laundry room. They had a full size washer and dryer, laundry detergent, an extra bed, an iron and ironing board, a vacuum cleaner and broom, and lots of clean beach towels.
Next is the main villa's primary suite. This is where Julie and I stayed during our visit. The king size bed was very comfortable. There was a dresser with a flat screen tv, and a desk with a flat screen monitor. Each room in the villa had its own air conditioning unit with its own temperature control. This was really nice to allow each person to keep their room at the temperature they liked. We also had an amazing view of the Chalk Sound and a balcony area with two loungers.
The main villa's primary suite also has its own bathroom. It had a dual sink vanity, a large bathtub, toilet, a shower with dual shower heads, and a large walk-in closet with its own safe. We loved the attention to detail and the beautiful tile work in each of this villa's bathrooms.
After leaving the primary suite, we walked through the living room and on the left hand side is the doorway to the second bedroom. The bedroom has a bed, a dresser with a flat screen tv, its own air conditioner, and a closet.
Each one of the bedrooms also had a sound conditioner for white noise so you can sleep soundly at night.
As we walked out of the second bedroom, we saw two tablets, phone chargers, a portable speaker, a printer, the a/c control for the living room, a karaoke machine, and a water dispenser. This villa has a large Tesla solar and battery system helps to keep uninterrupted power.
Next, I'm going to show you the kitchen and dining room area. With a large table that seats twelve, two couches, and four bar stools, there was plenty of space to eat meals together. The sliding glass doors and windows also gave us amazing views of the Chalk Sound National Park.
When we arrived the owners of the property had some snacks waiting for us. They had Pinacolada drinks (they have a smoothie machine to make them) a meat and cheese tray, a bowl of cut strawberries and a bowl of grapes. This was so nice after a long day of traveling.
Next, I'm going to show you around the kitchen. On the far end of the quartz countertop is the controller for the hot tub.
They have a De'Longhi Espresso Maker. If you don't know how to use it, there is a QR code behind it that you can watch a video tutorial.
They also have a Vitamix blender, a MoccaMaster drip coffee maker, and a bag of Turks and Caicos Original Coffee.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, a dual sink, a reverse osmosis water system, a nugget ice maker, the slushie machine, a mixer, a stove and oven, a microwave, and a refrigerator and freezer.
From the kitchen we are going to go down the hallway to the third bedroom.
The third bedroom is a king suite with its own bathroom.
This bedroom has a king size bed, its own air conditioner, a murphy bed, a dresser, and a flat screen tv.
The bathroom has a vanity with a sink, a toilet, and a shower.
Across the hallway from the third bedroom is another bathroom. This bathroom has a vanity with a sink, a toilet, and a shower.
At the very end of the hallway is the fourth bedroom that has a bed, a dresser, a flat screen tv, and a closet.
As we walk through the hallway and back through the dining room and kitchen, we can go out to the balcony through the sliding glass doors. There is a BBQ grill, a table and chairs, couches and chairs and two loungers on the long balcony. This is what it looks like:
Next, we are going to go to the front of the house to take a tour of the Nordic Spa and Fitness Center. You can walk through the house or you can go down the balcony steps and walk along the sidewalk to the front of the house.
The door to the Nordic Spa and Fitness Center has its own key code to get in.
As you walk in you'll see a Rogue Assault Bike, a Concept 2 Skierg, a Versaclimber, and an Assault Runner Elite Treadmill.
In the back left corner you have the 2-person Clearlight Infrared Sauna with Red Light Therapy.
In the back right corner is the temperature controlled cold plunge therapy tub.
Next to the cold plunge is more of the fitness center. You have with a Fringe Sports Dane 2.0 rack, adjustable dumbbells, kettlebells, a pull-up rack, bench,a Peloton bike, and a rope machine.
The Nordic Spa and Fitness Center was great to stay in shape while on vacation. We also loved being able to recover with the sauna and cold plunge.
As you leave the Nordic Spa and Fitness Center, you'll see a 4-car carport across the driveway with an attached casita. This is called the Upper Casita.
As you walk into the Upper Casita you'll see a couch with a Murphy Bed behind it. There is also a little table with two stools. You'll notice that they have their own air conditioning unit too.
The Upper Casita has a king size bed, a dresser with a flat screen tv on it, a mini-fridge, a safe, and its own bathroom with a vanity with a sink, a toilet, and a shower.
Next we are going to go to the back of the property where the other two casitas are located. You can walk along the stairs and sidewalk on the side of the property or you can walk through the house and go down the balcony stairs.
The side of the house has large black coils that are solar pool heater coils.
This is the view where the stairs from the balcony meet the bottom of the property.
This is the view going down the balcony stairs.
At the bottom of the balcony stairs is the Watersports Room. This room was great as the villa provided snorkels, masks, fins, life jackets, beach chairs and umbrellas, and coolers.
Next, I'm going to show you the pool deck that has a 12-person hot tub, a beautiful pool with amazing views, the pool loungers, a porch area with couches and a tv, and the views from the pool deck.
At the end of the pool deck is the second casita. This casita is called the Pool Casita. It is a King Suite with a half bathroom and an outdoor shower.
As you walk into the casita, you'll see a dresser with a flat screen tv, an air conditioning unit, a king size bed, a ceiling fan, and a closet with a safe.
The half bathroom has a toilet and sink. This bathroom has a door from the casita and a door from the pool deck. This allows the half bathroom to be used by people at the pool or the couple staying in the casita.
Next, we are going to go down the stairs to go to the Ocean Casita. This was our favorite of all three casitas as it is a King Suite with a kitchen, closet and bathroom. The views of the ocean are breathtaking from this casita too.
As you walk into the Ocean Casita, there is a couch with a Murphy Bed behind it. There is also a dresser with a flat screen tv. This casita has a comfortable king size bed and its own air conditioning unit.
The kitchen has a dual sink, a coffee maker, a microwave, a stove top, a blender, and a refrigerator and freezer.
To get to the bathroom, you walk by the closet on the other side of the room.
Next, we are going to follow the sidewalk from the Ocean Casita to the stairs that go down to the ocean.
As you go down the stairs to the water, there is a shower that you can use to rinse off the salt water.
At the bottom of the stairs is the new ocean deck pier with a ladder to get into the water. The new pier is the new storage area for the kayaks and paddle boards. This makes it easier to get them in and out of the water.
As we got into the water it went up to my chest and I'm six feet tall. I was able to walk over to the Aquabanas Party Bana (floating lounge). Julie is shorter and would normally just swim over. There were three Schiller Water Bikes anchored to it.
I snorkeled around this shallow area and saw lots of little fish and one larger fish.
After snorkeling, it was so nice to lay out on the open part of this inflatable lounger.
There are three Schiller Water Bikes and we took them out on two different days. The first day we went over to explore the Chalk Sound National Park Blue Hole. The Blue hole is about 0.80 miles away one way, so it was about a 1.6 mile ride. These water bikes are awesome and can go between 4 miles per hour up to 10 miles per hour depending the the water conditions and your strength.
On our way to the Blue Hole we could see airplanes flying over us getting ready to land at the airport, which is on the other side of the Chalk Sound National Park.
As we rode up to the Blue Hole, you can see the water color change from the turquoise to a darker blue. This Blue Hole is about 220 feet deep. The day that we went the visibility in the water wasn't that good and we couldn't see anything looking down. We had a fun time exploring here and then headed back to the Alta Bella Villa and Nordic Spa.
The next day we went on a longer ride on the Schiller Water Bikes. We rode over to the other side of the Chalk Sound to the sunken plane wreck. This was about 1.21 miles one way, so a total of 2.42 miles round trip. Each water bike has a water bottle holder so we each brought a drink so we wouldn't get dehydrated. This ride took us through the small islands that were filled with lots of birds.
When we finally found the plane, we could see the main body of the plane and the right wing. The left wing looks like it has fallen apart over the years.
Each water bike had a rope, so we tied all three water bikes together and had one person stay with the water bikes while the other two snorkeled.
This was such a fun adventure. We then headed back to the villa to enjoy some pool time with the family. When we got back, we anchored the water bikes to the floating lounger and used the shower to rinse off.
Here are some views from the pool area from sunrise, daytime, sunset, and at night. These views never get old.
One of our favorite beaches to go to was Taylor Bay Beach. It's only 1.6 miles from the villa and a 5-minute car ride. This beach has free street-side parking and a dirt trail that you follow to get to the bach. It also has really shallow crystal clear water and soft sand. We loved swimming and hanging out here. We would also come back in the evening to watch the sunset.
The other beach that we loved going to that was really close to the villa was Sapodilla Bay Beach. It's only 2 miles or about a 5-minute drive. You'll drive down a dirt road to get to the dirt parking lot, but it is free. You'll walk a dirt trail between houses to get there, but when you walk out onto the beach you'll be greeted with an absolutely beautiful beach. This beach also has a shipwreck that you can snorkel to. We loved swimming, snorkeling, and laying out at Sapodilla Bay Beach.
Although we love Taylor Bay Beach and Sapodilla Bay Beach, our favorite snorkeling spot on the entire island is Smiths Reef. It's only an 8.6 mile drive from the villa. This took us about 20 minutes to drive there. When you arrive there is a free dirt parking lot. From the parking lot we go out to the beach and snorkel heading northeast and then back. If you get tired, you can always get out and walk back on the beach. This is what the snorkeling looks like at Smiths Reef.
After a long day of exploring it's nice to go out to eat. We loved eating at Las Brisas Restaurant as it was only a 5-minute drive from the villa. This is an open-air restaurant that has beautiful views of the chalk sound. We loved the conch fritters, the coconut shrimp, and the fresh snapper.
Overall, we had an amazing trip at the Alta Bella Villa and Nordic Spa. We would highly recommend booking a trip to Providenciales and staying at this beautiful villa. You can find all of the booking information at AltaBellaVilla.com.
The owners of the Alta Bella Villa also told us that they have plans to keep improving the property. We can't wait to see what they add next. This four-night stay was a magical experience for us.
