We really enjoyed going to Glass Beach.

This beach is located on the southern shore of Kauai and is not your typical beach because it is located in an industrial area.

What makes this beach special is all of the polished glass that you can find in the sand.

Not only that, it really is a beautiful beach.

To get there we were on Waialo Road. We passed Captain Andy's and then turned left onto Aka Ula Street. We followed it till the end where it turns into a dirt road. At the end of the road there is a parking lot and that is where glass beach is.

This is what the road getting there looks like:

This is where the paved road ends and the dirt road bends around a corner and leads you to the dirt parking lot.

The view walking out onto Glass Beach is beautiful. You'll see to the right where most people are is the area of the beach that has the different colors of polished glass mixed in with the sand.

You can scoop up a handful of sand and see all of the different glass colors.

I walked down to the end of the beach to see if there was more glass in the sand, but it seemed that there was a large concentration in the one area only.

Not only was this a cool beach to visit because of the glass in the sand, but it had some pretty amazing views too.
