Makaha Beach Park is a beautiful beach located on the west side of Oahu.

This beach is known for great surfing. This is where the beach is located.

The parking is free here. There is a large parking lot and street side parking.

We found a parking space and started walking towards the beach. We saw that there was a free public bathroom and showers.

We took the crosswalk across the street to the beach.

It was cloudy with some rain showers on the day that we went. That led to this beautiful moment when the sun started to peak through the clouds.

We found that when you’re facing the beach, the larger swells come in on the right side of the beach and the calmer water was in the middle to left side of the beach.

We had a great time watching the surfers and body boarders ride these waves.

This is a long beach and great for long walks along the coastline.

Overall, we had a great time exploring this beach and watching the surfers. We would love to go back on a calm summer day to snorkel here.
