Dunmore Beach, Long Island, Bahamas
Blog Post - November 13, 2025
Dunmore Beach is a beautiful beach that is located on the southeast side of Long Island in the Bahamas.
From the Queen's Highway we turned off onto this dirt road that took us all the way to the beach. This is what the dirt road looked like.
When we reached the end of the dirt road there is a large area for parking.
We parked and walked the short trail out to the beach.
On the day that we went, it was really windy and the waves were rough so we didn't get in the water to go snorkeling. We did see that there is a long stretch of reef that we want to come back to on a calm day to snorkel.
This is a long stretch of beach and we walked this beach and explored. This is what it looked like.
Overall, we had a great time at Dunmore Beach and we definitely want to come back on a calm day to go snorkeling here.

CHECKLIST:
These are the checklist items I recommend:
- Bring your own food and water.
- Bring a hat.
- Bring sunglasses.
- Bring reef safe sunscreen.
- The road to get there is a dirt road so a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
- Bring your own snorkeling gear. The day that we went was too windy and the water was too rough, but there is a long stretch of reef that might be good for snorkeling.
