Harding's Beach, Long Island, Bahamas
Blog Post - November 10, 2025
Harding's Beach is a must visit on your next trip to Long Island in the Bahamas. This beautiful beach has a long stretch of sand, white cliffs, and rock outcroppings that block the waves so you can swim and snorkel.
It’s located on the east side of Long Island in the Bahamas.
From the Queen's Highway you turn off onto Harding Road and follow that straight all the way to the beach. The road is paved most of the way there, but at the end does turn into a dirt road.
We parked in the small dirt parking lot and took the sandy trail over to the beach.
As we walked out onto the beach, we decided to explore the northern end first and then head to the southern end.
As we walked along the coast to the northern end their were a few sections of rock that we climbed over.
At the very northern end of the beach is a big rock formation. We climbed over to access a little private cove.
This is the view looking back from where we climbed over. We climbed over close to the water where the rocks are lower.
After exploring the northern end of the beach we walked this beautiful coastline down to the southern end.
The southern end has the big rock outcropping that blocks a lot of the waves and we found it a good place to go swimming and snorkeling. We only saw really little fish here, but it was still really fun.
After snorkeling, we got out and laid out on the beach. We were the only ones at this beautiful beach.
Overall, we had a great time exploring, swimming, snorkeling, and laying out at Harding's Beach. We highly recommend this beach and we can't wait to go back.
