Stone Beach, Long Island, Bahamas
Blog Post - November 9, 2025
Stone Beach has beautiful turquoise water, soft sand, and amazing tide pools.
This remote beach is located up on the northeast side of Long Island in the Bahamas.
We drove a dirt road to get there.
When we got there we found a small dirt parking lot area.
Right across from the parking lot is a sign pointing to the trail to walk to Love Beaches. Instead of taking that trail, you turn left at the small pile of rocks you can see in the photo below and take the trail over to the rocky area. Then you turn right and walk the rocks down to the beach.
This is the view of Stone Beach before walking down to the beach.
As we walked out onto the beach, this is the view looking back at the slope we walked down to get to the beach.
As we explored Stone Beach we found that the sand was really soft.
The water was rough on the day that we went, but we could imagine how fun it would be to explore these tide pools on a calm day.
Overall, we had a great time exploring and hanging out at Stone Beach. We definitely want to come back on a day were the ocean is calm so we can swim in these tide pools.

CHECKLIST:
These are the checklist items I recommend:
- There are no bathrooms, so plan accordingly.
- Bring some food and water.
- Bring a hat.
- Bring sunglasses.
- Bring reef safe sunscreen.
- Bring water shoes to walk on the rocks.
- Bring your own snorkeling gear. The day we went the water was a little too rough, but if it was calm you could snorkel in the tide pools.
