Love Beach, Long Island, Bahamas
Blog Post - November 9, 2025
Love Beach has crystal clear turquoise water, soft sand, and has a reef barrier that makes it a big tide pool.
It's located up on the northeast side of Long Island in the Bahamas.
As we were driving in we saw a sign pointing us in the right direction.
We followed the paved road and then it turns into a dirt road. The dirt road was packed in and easy to drive. We were driving a Jeep and never had to put it into 4-wheel drive.
One of the things we noticed is that all of the sign said "Love Beaches" plural and not just "Love Beach". When we looked at the map we realized that there are multiple beaches past "Love Beach" making them plural. We only went to Love Beach and didn't explore the other beaches beyond. You have to hike over a stretch of rocks to get to the other beaches.
We followed the dirt road until we got to the small dirt parking lot for Love Beach.
Across from the small parking lot is the last sign pointing towards Love Beaches. It's only 0.10 miles to get there. On the way you'll pass Stone Beach. It only took us about 5 minutes to get to the wooden staircase that goes down to Love Beach.
There's an amazing view from the top of the wooden staircase of Love Beach. We went down the stairs and started exploring the beach. We were the only ones there so we had the entire beach to ourselves.
After exploring the beach, we decided to get into this crystal clear water and do some snorkeling.
After snorkeling, we got out and explore the rocky area by the tide pools.
Overall, we had a great time at Love Beach. It felt like we had our own slice of paradise as no one else was there on the day we went. We would like to go back when the water is calmer to explore the tide pools more. We also want to come back and hike to the other beaches beyond Love Beach. We had a great time and can't wait to go back.
